Highly rigid main post that supports cutting of hard materials.

Amada's heavy duty band saw has a highly rigid main post with a large diameter that assures high accuracy and durability when cutting hard materials. In addition, with a side roller of a double eccentric mechanism and narrow guide (including a patented mechanism) added, vibration occurring during cutting is reduced and the service life of the blade is longer. These altogether result in highly accurate cutting.

Sturdy machine structure assures high rigidity and long service life.

Sturdiness is provided not only in the main post but also in the blade housing and the table base. The large sized wheel of a solid forming that supports stable blade movement, means that the housing frame is not affected by the blade tension and the table bed that has a large load capacity, all contribute to provide durability for heavy duty cutting over a long period of time.

Two types of material feeding mechanism suitable for
all material sizes and conditions.

The material feeding mechanism for the 700 ~ 1000 series
uses a vise moving method, emphasizing the index speed
because in many cases the external dimensions of the material
are linear.

On the other hand, the over 1000 series uses a table moving
method, ensuring stability in feeding because in many cases the
material is heavy and of different shapes.
The user can select either of the above methods as an option.

Light-beam instrument that simplifies marking-off alignment.

The cutting position can be determined easily by projecting the shadow of the blade with light beam. Each model in all series is provided with a sub-control box. Using this sub-control box, the operator can control the major operations of the feeding unit and the blade guide. At the same time, the operator can properly make various settings near the blade through visual checks.

The quick approach device is built in the machine, while not disturbing the operation of the machine in any way. When the cutting mode is started and the blade moves down quickly close to the material, this device detects the height of the material and then the machine initiates cutting at the specified cutting speed. In this way, quick descent saves the air cut time loss and the speed change protects the blade against breakage. Also, this device is utilized as the blade upper end during the automatic operation to provide high productivity.

Chip conveyor to help automatic continuous operation.

Cutting a large sized material produces a large amount of saw chips and the operator has to repeal cleaning many times. The chip conveyor automates discharge of saw chips to save work during continuous operations. If this conveyor is used effectively, even unattended operation will be possible. As it has an appropriate inclination and rotation speed, the coolant flows smoothly, assuring effects with respect to economy and recycling.
